Kevin Smith:

Kevin Smith

My name is Kevin Smith and I am Managing Director of Margetts Wealth Management Ltd based in St Pauls Square, Birmingham.

I have 24 years’ experience in the financial services sector, having spent most of those providing advice to the business sector at large, working for a major financial institution, before becoming independent some 12 years ago and over this time I have created and established a successful wealth planning business unit.

The success of the business is based on our ability to engage professional connections, accountants and lawyers to refer their most trusted clients. Together with my team I focus on the SME corporate market and high net worth personal planning arena, providing proven systems and solutions in the areas of pensions, investment and tax planning. I also provide bespoke exit strategies and wealth accumulation for shareholders and directors of companies that can result in tax savings for both the employer and employee.

I base my success and principles on high levels of service and customer care. Communication is King to me and is backed up by a “can do“ approach. Simply put myself and my team “do exactly what we say on the tin”.

I am a Top of the Table member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) the worldwide premier organisation for financial intermediaries. Top of the Table members are in the top 1% performing financial service professionals in the UK. I also write regular articles in the industry press and have spoken at several accountancy conferences.

My approach to both personal and company financial planning is to turn the many grey areas into the clarity of black and white. For most clients their circumstances, aims and objectives are complicated and require careful analysis and understanding. In the years that I has been providing financial advice I have learnt that identifying what really matters to people enables me to select long lasting and relevant solutions.

At Margetts Wealth my team and I have access to the most up to date technical and administrative capability through our network provider. This means that clients benefit from our specialist and tailored advice backed up by the continuity and scale of a national organisation.
